To commemorate the thorough restoration of Rembrandt’s masterpieces Marten & Oopjen, the Rijksmuseum has released a unique Playmobil set. The set features two miniature figures: Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit, complete with a fan.

Marten & Oopjen: Nearly 400 Years Together
Marten Soolmans, son of a wealthy Flemish immigrant with a sugar refinery in Amsterdam, confidently posed for Rembrandt in 1634. With his striking costume, including expensive lace and large rosettes on his shoes, he later earned the reputation of a dandy. His wife, Oopjen Coppit, hailed from an influential Amsterdam family; her grandfather amassed wealth through grain and gunpowder trade. Despite her less modern attire, Oopjen displayed her prosperity with her black silk dress and jewelry.

Not suitable for children under three years of age due to the danger of suffocation caused by small parts.
